Location

Alcaig Cottages are located in the hamlet of Alcaig, near Dingwall, just 12 miles north of Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands.

Inverness has a main-line railway station with regular trains to and from London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Thurso, Wick and Kyle of Lochalsh on the West Coast.

Inverness Airport, which has 5 flights a day to London is only 30 minutes away and has a wide choice of car rental companies.

Alcaig is located only a couple of miles off the A9, the main arterial route through the Highlands.  Dingwall is at the hub of several good A-roads, ensuring many parts of the Highlands, including the West Coast, can be reached easily and quickly.
